Treat yourself to these delicious chocolate squares made with fresh coconut
Ingredients
- 2 cups fresh shredded coconut
- 1/3 cup honey (use a bit less if you prefer less sweet)
- 3/4 cup extra-virgin cold-pressed coconut oil, at room temperature
- 1 cup dark chocolate
- 2 tbsp milk of choice
Method
- Mix the honey, shredded coconut and coconut oil together. Press the mixture evenly into an 8×8 baking pan. And place in freezer for 10 minutes.
- Melt the chocolate and milk on a low heat until smooth.
- Pour the chocolate onto the cooled coconut mixture and refrigerate for another 30 minutes.
- Remove from fridge and use a sharp knife to slice and serve,
