Mr. Eugene Amadi-Atta is the Farm Manager of X-ray Mango Farms which is located in the Doryumu area of greater Accra in Ghana. Eugene has been working in the fruit industry since 1980 and through practical experience and training he has developed a huge amount of expertise in pineapple and mango cultivation. He has worked in the past in several capacities including as Farm Manager at a major Ghanaian mango exporter for seven years. Several challenges led to him being made redundant and so he had to go back to running his pharmacy shop until Blue Skies took over the farm to rejuvenate its fortunes.
He says Blue Skies has given him back his life and today he is happily working with a lot more excitement, counting his blessings and acknowledging what God has done.
I can now take care of my family and make my children happy again. Working at X-ray and more especially being part of the Blue Skies Family gives me and the whole team the joy of doing our best to ensure this farm succeeds and contributes massively to the improvement in quality and yield of Mango production in Ghana
He continues “There are very few farms in this country if any at all which have the highly sophisticated irrigation systems we have. This gives hope and assurance for quality production”. Eugene believes that in the next five years he will hit an even higher production capacity to feed the Factories.
