UK Trade Minister Lord Livingston called in on Blue Skies this month as part of a two day visit to Ghana to explore opportunities to strengthen trade links between the UK and Ghana.
Lord Livingston was CEO of BT Group from 2008 until 2013 and had been Group Finance Director at Dixons Group plc from the age of 32 making him the youngest FTSE 100 CFO. As the UK Trade Minister he has responsibility for developing and implementing cross-government strategy for trade and inward investment. His visit to Blue Skies was facilitated by the HE Jon Benjamin, British High Commissioner to Ghana, and his team. Blue Skies CEO John Toomey and General Manager Ruth Adjei hosted the Minister’s visit and demonstrated how Blue Skies is a leading example of a British owned business making a positive difference in Africa. Lord Livingston was taken on a tour of the factory site and given a taste of some of the products produced here.
